NFL quarterback leads by example in Coronavirus outbreak
Earlier this week, we shared an article on how out of touch celebs are spending their self quarantine time in mansions that could fit entire city blocks. They post ridiculous selfies of dancing, working out in private gyms, cooking, etc. rather than helping by donating a portion of their millions. Most of these celebs will tell us how we should follow socialism and promote wealth redistribution. Yes they want the rich to give more money to those in need but they exempt themselves in hypocritical fashion.
However, we found one celebrity who is leading by example. Putting his money where his mouth is. That great man is New Orleans Saints quarterback, Drew Brees. He is donating millions along with his time to those who need help during this epidemic. This is not a new trend for Drew, he also donated heavily after Katrina in 2005. He also has spent much of his time since 2005 working with leaders to help ensure recovery efforts after community disasters are swift.
Drew has committed to donating over $5 million dollars to help the state of Louisiana to help. Per a statement released by his foundation, he states “After considerable research and conversations with local organizations,” they announced, “we will be mobilizing our partnerships with Second Harvest Food Bank, Ochsner Health Systems, Walk-Ons, Jimmy Johns, Smalls Sliders and Waitr to prepare and deliver over 10,000 meals per day throughout Louisiana for as long as it takes to children on meal programs, seniors, and families in need.”
He is one celebrity who is leading by example. Instead of bashing Trump like so many liberal celebrities like “IT Clown” Kathy Griffin, he is leading by example. He was blessed with a high paying career and sees the greater good of paying it forward by putting his money and time out there to help others.
