Walk of Shame Awarded to D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser
This week, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser illegally evicted National Guard Troops from hotels in her city. Mainly the hotels are privately held business and she cannot enforce any hotel from preventing providing shelter to any customer. However, she did it anyway.
Per a statement from the Utah National Guard who were kicked out of hotels in DC: “We were informed that our service members would be relocated from their hotel rooms. At this time, their housing situation has not been resolved,”
Mayor Bowser is also requesting President Trump withdraw federal law enforcement agents and National Guard troops. They were brought into the city to restore law and order. She has been against the move simply because she is against Trump. We here at AmericaAgainstHollywood.com can safely assume that if Barack Obama had at anytime ordered the guard to her city, she would have welcomed it with open arms.
The sad part is that these brave men and women are here to help the U.S. in many ways. In her city alone, they helped squash riots in one night after her city had riots for three nights. These men and women also had completed a 10 hour shift of hard work in the humid D.C. sun and proceeded to the hotel only to find out she had evicted them.
After push back from all sides, She is now stating it was all due to a budget issue. The mayor mentioned in an press briefing that she did not “evict anybody from a private hotel” but said the city will not pay for National Guard housing. She said they have no desire to see soldiers on the street but said the armory or the home state of the National Guard should pay for their arrangements. “If they are going to use rooms we reserved, they have to pay for them,” However, her initial tweet tells a different story.

President Trump weighed in on her move by tweeting “The incompetent Mayor of Washington, D.C., @MayorBowser, who’s budget is totally out of control and is constantly coming back to us for “handouts”, is now fighting with the National Guard, who saved her from great embarrassment over the last number of nights. If she doesn’t treat these men and women well, then we’ll bring in a different group of men and women!”
For her shameless politicization of our military, we award her this weeks Walk of Shame Award. Once we find out the name of the hotel, we will also give them the same award. They should have put these brave people up for free!
